About us
At Naylor Love, we're proud to be one of New Zealand's leading commercial construction companies, with a team of over 900 talented individuals nationwide. We're known for delivering exceptional projects and creating a culture where people thrive.
We believe work should be rewarding and enjoyable. That's why we invest in our people - offering career development, wellbeing initiatives, and a supportive environment where you can truly love what you do.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Yard Manager, you'll be the go-to for all things admin, logistics, and coordination, supporting the Wellington yard team to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. You'll work closely with the Yard Manager, Yard Supervisor, and project teams across the region to make sure plant, tools, and equipment are where they need to be, when they need to be there.
This role has a bit of everything, part administration, part coordination, and part hands-on support. You'll have variety in your day, taking ownership of key yard processes while staying connected to what's happening on our sites.
What you'll be doing
Administration and coordination:
- Manage the Wellington Yard inbox, ensuring all plant transfer requests are actioned promptly
- Keep digital and hard copy records organised, including Plant Lists and Purchase Orders
- Support the Yard Manager with day-to-day operational tasks and general administration
- Liaise with project teams to confirm availability, timelines, and updates on plant and equipment services
Plant and equipment management:
- Load plant and equipment into OnTrack and process all transfers between sites
- Maintain accurate Site Plant Lists and support with timely repairs or replacements of tools and equipment
- Assist with coordination of maintenance, servicing, and testing schedules
Inventory and procurement:
- Organise and manage PPE and site signage stock levels, including deliveries to new starters or sites as needed
- Maintain inventory reports and support with purchasing where required
General yard and site support:
- Help with deliveries and collections for sites and offices
- Assist with picking and dispatching tools and materials to sites
- Coordinate bookings for the Naylor Love BBQ and other team event equipment
Why you'll enjoy It
This is a role for someone who likes variety and autonomy, no two days are the same. You'll be part of a close-knit, down-to-earth team that values communication, initiative, and reliability. It's an environment where you can grow your skills in logistics and coordination while learning more about the operational side of construction.
Why work for us
At Naylor Love, we don't just build structures - we build careers and communities. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we're committed to creating a workplace where you feel valued, supported, and inspired.
From wellbeing programmes and professional development to meaningful work and a strong team culture, we offer more than a job - we offer a place where you can thrive.
In addition to a competitive salary, you will have access to a wide range of other benefits including the following:
- Southern Cross medical insurance for you and your whānau (covers pre-existing conditions)
