Whai Rawa is the Ngāi Tahu investment scheme helping create a better future for Ngāi Tahu whānau through wealth and wellbeing. The fund celebrates over $186 million under management and more than 37,000 members. Established in 2006, Whai Rawa is a regulated managed investment scheme and supports intergenerational impact by improving participation in tertiary education, increasing home ownership, and ensuring funds for retirement.

We are seeking to appoint a new Director to contribute to the strategic governance of Whai Rawa Fund Limited, the manager of Whai Rawa.

About the Roles: Our ideal Director will demonstrate:

  • Strong commercial, strategic, and financial acumen
  • Governance experience
  • Alignment with Ngāi Tahu values and an affinity for the aspirations of Ngāi Tahu whānau
  • An intergenerational view, with the capacity to balance innovation and risk, identify opportunities, and create scheme member value

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in investments, funds under management and managed investment schemes is preferred
  • Vision, innovation, and the ability to contribute to a high-performing board environment
