The Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Asbestos Supervisor to oversee Class A and/or Class B removal projects. You'll be responsible for managing on site teams, ensuring compliance with WorkSafe NZ regulations, and delivering projects to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise asbestos removal projects from set-up to clearance.
• Ensure strict compliance with the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016 and WorkSafe NZ requirements.
• Prepare and implement site-specific removal control plans (RCPs).
- Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate project records, including air monitoring results and clearance certificates.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and WorkSafe inspectors.
• Mentor and train asbestos removal workers to build capability in the team.
Skills & Experience
• Current New Zealand Asbestos Removal Supervisor Certificate (Class A and/or Class B).
• Proven experience supervising asbestos removal projects.
• Strong understanding of NZ asbestos regulations and safe work practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to complete paperwork and reporting accurately.
• Strong focus on health, safety, and quality.
