The Role
You will be tasked with overseeing the product planning and lifecycle management for the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles range, ensuring our products remain competitive and profitable. You'll collaborate directly with the manufacturer in Hannover, manage new and existing model development, and lead bespoke product solutions for key clients.
Key Responsibilities
To achieve in this role, you will be able to:
- Lead product planning, development, and lifecycle management for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
- Develop and maintain competitive indexes and pricing strategies.
- Liaise with the manufacturer on product ordering, options, and production.
- Lead bespoke product development, working with emergency services, and fleet customers.
- Ensure technical compliance and support certification processes.
- Provide financial analysis, manage pricing approvals, and maintain costing sheets.
- Support the dealer network with product launches, training, and sales tools.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver technical guidance and product information.
Skills & Experience
Your key skills and experience should include:
- Proven experience in Product Management, preferably in automotive
- 3 - 4 years Management experience minimum
- Comprehensive understanding of the automotive industry (technical knowledge of benefit)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercial acumen and financial literacy.
- Advanced computer literacy, especially with Microsoft products.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Team player with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
