The opportunity

We're looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our Waikato/BoP team in Tauranga. This is a brand-new role created due to upcoming exciting projects.

You'll have the support of our QS Manager while being trusted with real responsibility, reporting directly to them as you help deliver this exciting development. This is a great opportunity for someone with some QS experience who's ready to step up and take on larger, more complex projects.

You'll be part of a young, capable, and collaborative team of twelve QS across Projects and Interiors and Building. The team includes three senior QS, several intermediates, and a cadet - all supported by a QS Manager and P&I Manager with strong main contractor backgrounds.

Who we're looking for

We're open-minded on background, but ideally you'll bring the following:

• Experience working in commercial construction as a Quantity Surveyor (consultancy, estimating, or site-based QS stepping across also considered)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
• Good EQ and cultural fit - someone who reflects our values and can adapt to a supportive but high-performing team environment

• Financial management and administration of building contracts
• Final account negotiations
• Letting and administration of sub-contractors
• Supporting the team to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients
