About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out QS duties to the highest industry standards, ensuring adherence to required timeframes and maintaining the quality of work produced. As a key member of our centralised team, you will contribute positively to the team environment, promoting our reputation for excellence in Quantity Surveying abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete takeoffs and pricing using CostX software and other relevant applications.
• Prepare, manage and deliver tender submissions
• Prepare, manage and deliver standalone Design and Build contracts
• Prepare variations, payment claims, purchase orders and other QS related duties for our builds
• Ensure high calibre of contract administration Conduct QA checklists and quality assurance checks as necessary.
• Collaborate with all Classic Group departments and stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes for the business.
• Maintain professional relationships with  stakeholders.
• Actively seek feedback to improve quality and efficiency.

About you

We are happy to receiving applications from both Intermediate and Senior Quantity Surveyors within the residential construction industry. Things we would love to see:

• Strong understanding of the NZ Building Code and NZS 3604, as well as hold a National Diploma in QS or relevant tertiary qualification.
• You'll have some commercial savviness about you, adept in overseeing contracts, including end-to-end 3910 administration, enabling successful tendering and delivery across residential and light commercial projects.
• Experience with CostX (desirable) , but we are happy to provide training.
