Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is seeking a visionary Head of Digital to lead our digital transformation journey. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of vocational education through innovative, learner-centred digital solutions that empower our ākonga (students), kaimahi (staff), and communities.
As a senior leader, you will drive strategic change, enhance digital capability, and champion service excellence across the organisation. You'll lead a high-performing team to deliver future-ready digital services that support educational excellence and operational efficiency.
This role is pivotal in co-designing responsive digital solutions, fostering innovation, and ensuring our systems and services are aligned with Toi Ohomai's vision and values.
Ngā mahi | Key Responsibilities
You will lead the strategic planning and delivery of digital services across our organisation, ensuring they are innovative, resilient, and responsive to the needs of ākonga, kaimahi, and our communities.
- Leading enterprise IT systems and digital transformation initiatives
- Working in collaboration across the business to develop and execute a future-focused digital strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Build and empower a collaborative, high-performing digital team.
- Partner across the organisation and externally to deliver impactful digital solutions.
- Ensure effective governance, performance measurement, and resource management.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
He kōrero mōu | About You
You bring:
- A postgraduate level qualification in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in the IT sector, including leading digital transformation initiatives
- Understanding of the vocational education sector and an innovative approach to digital transformation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proven ability to translate complex ideas into effective digital solutions.
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori success.
