Are you passionate about technology and libraries? Join our team as a Matihiko Technology Support Librarian and play a key role in supporting the digital backbone of Hamilton City Libraries.

About the Role

In this position, you will:

  • Support operational functions of the Kōtui Library Management System (LMS) and other key technologies used across our libraries.
  • Provide advice and technical support for the development and enhancement of library technologies in collaboration with the libraries team and the Digital Services Unit.
  • Assist with technology development and troubleshooting, ensuring smooth operation of systems and tools used by Hamilton City Libraries.
  • Offer technology advice for library projects, helping staff implement innovative solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve support issues, logging calls according to the Technology Troubleshooting Roadmap.
  • Support staff providing first-response assistance for the LMS and other library technologies.
  • Develop and support the communication function of Hamilton City Libraries whether this is working on website content or creating the next viral social media sensation.

The salary is $75,978 based on a 37.5 hour work week.
