About the Role

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager in our Penrose Head Office, the People & Culture Advisor partners closely with leaders across the business to provide practical, trusted HR support and advice.

This is not a typical advisor role. As part of a small, high-performing team of three supporting a workforce of 1,000+, you'll be involved across the full spectrum of HR activity. No two days will be the same, and you'll have exposure to a diverse range of teams with varying needs in a fast-paced, operational environment.

About You

You're an experienced HR generalist who thrives as the first point of contact for people-related queries, providing sound, pragmatic advice in medium to large commercial organisations. You bring strong written and verbal communication skills, a solutions-focused mindset, and a genuine customer-centric approach.

You build trust easily, form effective coaching relationships, and can influence with confidence. Comfortable juggling competing priorities, you remain organised and focused, even when the work is complex and time sensitive.

You'll also bring:

  • Strong working knowledge of NZ employment legislation
  • Proven experience in a busy, varied, and ideally multi-site or 24/7 environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on consistent and professional service delivery
  • Confidence using HRIS and/or ATS platforms (SAP SuccessFactors experience is advantageous)
