The Role
We are seeking a motivated Repairer to join our team in a fast-paced shipping container repair and maintenance yard. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this is a hands-on role where you'll be working on a wide variety of container repairs, ensuring each unit is safe, secure, and ready for use.
About the Role
As a Repairer, you will support day-to-day repair and maintenance tasks including:
· Surveying and assessing containers
· Washing and cleaning containers
· Welding, grinding, and patching holes
· Filling, sanding and preparing containers for painting
· Painting containers
· Replacing and repairing timber floorboards
· Repairing and adjusting container doors, locks, and seals
· General workshop and yard duties
About You
We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and enjoys working in a team. You'll ideally bring:
· Previous experience in the metal or container industry (desirable)
· Confidence with Microsoft Office and photographic documentation
· Strong, observational skills, attention to detail and commitment to safety
· A current Forklift license (desirable)
· A positive attitude and willingness to learn
