About the Role

We're looking for a qualified HVAC Service Technician with a current EWRB Electrical Service Technician (EST) Licence to join our Auckland team.

This is a service-focused role where you'll manage HVAC service requests and urgent callouts, carry out preventative maintenance, and perform repairs and commissioning within agreed KPI response times across a range of commercial systems including VRV/VRF units, chillers, and heat pumps.

Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Responding to service requests, breakdowns, and urgent callouts within KPI timeframes
  • Performing preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems
  • Managing both electrical and mechanical aspects of systems
  • Refurbishing refrigeration systems and replacing faulty components
  • Ensuring all work meets quality, warranty, and Health & Safety standards
  • Maintaining accurate electronic service and job records in Simpro
  • Building strong client relationships through clear, professional communication

You'll work independently day to day, managing your workload and priorities, while also contributing to the after-hours roster as part of a skilled, supportive HVAC team.

What We're Looking For

  • NZQA Level 4 trade qualification in Air Conditioning / Refrigeration and a minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in the field
  • Proven experience in commercial HVAC servicing, repairs, and maintenance
  • Current EWRB Electrical Service Technician (EST) Licence – (Essential)
  • Full Class 1 Driver Licence
  • Refrigerant Fillers Licence A1/A2L
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • A proactive, reliable attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Flexibility to participate in the after-hours / on-call rotation

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with VRV/VRF systems and commercial chillers
  • Confined Space / EWP / Working at Heights certifications
  • 4WD or off-road driving experience
