**What’s in it for me?**

The HVAC/Refrigeration technician’s priority is the safe execution of reactive and planned preventative maintenance works to minimise risk and disruptions to the delivery of essential services.

We welcome experienced and seasoned HVAC technicians But if you are new to the industry, you will gain the ability to develop your technical skills and confidence in hands-on with experienced HVAC technicians. This role provides you the opportunity to excel and build your mechanical/ HVAC career.

**About the Role**
You will be responsible for:

- Undertaking all planned preventative maintenance work in accordance with the maintenance schedule, achieving KPI’s every month
- Prioritising reactive and breakdown maintenance tasks
- Performing refrigeration work and mechanical services, including the performance of peripheral and incidental tasks
- Completing relevant work management dockets, work feedback, inventory, and general maintenance reports
- Making recommendations aimed at extending equipment life
- Ensuring the safety of your team, as well as the security of the plant, equipment, and tools

This is an exciting role that offers lots of variety as we work across a diverse portfolio - from Community centres, libraries, administration buildings, swimming pools, etc.

There is also a degree of flexibility as many of the buildings we service operate quite early and you have the option to adjust your time accordingly.
You will mostly be working independently but from time to time may get sent to two-person jobs.

**About You**
To be successful in this role, your expertise will ideally lie within a commercial HVAC service and maintenance area, particularly within Facilities Management.
Further to this, you will have:

- A minimum NZ Level 4 HVAC/Refrigeration qualification
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with installation and maintenance of heating, air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems
- A good understanding of New Zealand mechanical services standards
- A valid driver’s license (Class 1,2,4 is advantageous)
- Strong team player; has worked collaboratively with others
- Most importantly, willingness to learn
