Exciting Growth OpportunityAMINZ is a growing organisation with an expanding portfolio of events and professional development programmes. As part of this growth, we are separating our Education and Events/Engagement functions to better focus on both areas. Our existing Events Manager will transition into the newly created Education-focused Programme Manager role, creating an opportunity for a senior Engagement Manager to lead AMINZ's events, sponsorship and engagement activities.

What You Will Lead

The Engagement Manager will take ownership of AMINZ's events, sponsorship and engagement portfolio. This senior role combines hands-on delivery, programme co-authorship, stakeholder engagement, operational execution and data-informed improvement. You will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of events, webinars, network activities and sponsorship initiatives, ensuring they align with AMINZ's values, strategic direction and member expectations.

What You Will Do

  • Lead planning and delivery of all AMINZ events and engagement activities, balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Co-author event programmes with committees, convenors and speakers, ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Manage event logistics, speakers, venues, technology and sponsors.
  • Own sponsorship delivery and partner relationships, ensuring visibility and value.
  • Design and analyse engagement surveys to capture insights and guide improvements.
  • Implement survey-driven enhancements to meet member needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with Events Committee, Network Convenors and Marketing Manager to maximise impact.
  • Maintain quality and operational standards, tracking performance, budgets and metrics.
  • Capture feedback and implement continuous improvements to enhance experiences.
  • Contribute to shaping AMINZ's operational and engagement future.

What You Will Bring

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Strategic and operationally strong: Able to plan, deliver and innovate engagement initiatives.
  • Experienced in senior event, engagement or portfolio management: Able tolead end-to-end delivery, engagement initiatives and improvement activities.
  • Professional, collaborative and highly organised: Engages effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, anticipates needs and keeps projects on track.
  • Resilient under pressure: Remains calm, exercises strong judgement and solves problems efficiently.
  • Data-informed: Able to design and analyse surveys and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Quality-focused, team-oriented and supportive: Drives high standards and contributes to a positive culture.
  • Digitally adept: Comfortable managing online platforms, hybrid delivery and digital content.
  • Knowledge of Te Ao Māori, Tikanga and Te Reo Māori or a commitment to building capability is strongly valued.
