Let's Talk About The Role & Responsibilities

In this newly created Senior Business and Data Analyst role within our CCA team, you'll be part of a meaningful programme of work that's shaping real-time data solutions for communities across Auckland. Your insights will help build a strong data foundation that supports multiple stakeholders and makes a real difference to local people.

You'll bring your analytical expertise and collaborative spirit to a team that values clear communication, thoughtful problem-solving, and shared success.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with clients, technical teams, and internal stakeholders to understand needs, gather requirements, and create documentation that's clear and accessible.
  • Use your data analysis skills to identify gaps, uncover opportunities, and support informed decision-making.
  • Work closely with the project team to break down deliverables into achievable activities and milestones.
  • Act as a trusted connector between business needs and technical solutions, helping ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Support the Solution Architect by translating business requirements into practical design inputs.
  • Engage with customers to co-design best practices and system guidelines that reflect real-world needs.
  • Maintain well-organised records of technical and business information to support transparency and collaboration.
  • Apply your understanding of data structures, architecture, and modelling to guide solution development.
  • Contribute across the development lifecycle, from concept through to delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate all business analysis activities needed to bring the project vision to life.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract starting ideally immediately and the role may go permanent. There is a requirement for the selected candidate to work a minimum of 2 days onsite with our client, the other days from our Central Auckland Capgemini office or from home.
