We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a permanent part-time Specialist Learning Assistant starting Term 1, 2026.

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of 2000 students.  Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tumanako. 

About the job

As a Specialist Learning Assistant, you will be joining a passionate and committed group of staff, working to support our students with a diverse range of learning and behaviour needs. Based across both our Junior and Senior Campuses, the role is 20 hours per week (negotiable), 37 weeks per year. 

The successful applicant will:

  • Empathetic, patient, and enthusiastic for helping students realise their full potential
  • Excellent with communication and organisational skills
  • Able to work well in a collaborative team environment
  • Willing to learn new skills
  • Experienced in supporting complex learning and behaviour needs (advantageous)
  • Willing to support our special character
