The Opportunity:We're looking for a proactive and technically competent Area Sales Representative to support our continued growth in the residential and light commercial sectors. This role is perfect for someone who understands how to combine commercial acumen with site-specific problem-solving and client relationship development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct structured territory analysis and site visits to assess client needs and identify sales opportunities 

• Deliver technical product demonstrations and develop customised proposals for residential and light commercial clients 

• Qualify commercial prospects based on regulatory, structural, and service parameters 

• Maintain and grow a robust sales pipeline through direct canvassing, cold calling, and lead follow-up 

• Liaise with internal teams to coordinate product delivery, technical support, and compliance documentation 

• Stay up to date with product specifications, site safety standards, and council regulatory requirements 

• Achieve and exceed revenue targets through consultative, solution-based selling methods 

About You:

• Be Tertiary qualified or a minimum 1 year of proven sales success, ideally in the construction, roofing, or property maintenance sector and comfortable with door knocking and cold calling. 

• Demonstrated ability to assess technical site needs and match them with appropriate service offerings and learn and develop these skills. A tertiary level qualification will be a measure of your ability to do this. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Again this will be measured by your formal education level by reference to a tertiary level qualification.

• Highly self-motivated with strong time management and planning ability 

• Comfortable with CRM systems, iPad-based sales tools, and quoting software 

• Knowledge of roofing materials and safety practices (e.g. working at heights, traffic and hazardous substance management) desirable 

• Current NZ driver's license and right to work in New Zealand required

This is a full-time salaried position, 40 hours of work per week guaranteed. Work outside of normal business hours is necessary to succeed in this role. Therefore, great time management is a must, but the flexibility in hours will appeal to you.
