Christchurch Central, New Zealand Venues Ōtautahi Full time
  • Living wage employer
  • Join us as we grow our teams in preparation for the opening of One New Zealand Stadium
  • Plenty of flexible hours available (work around your other commitments)

About the Role

The opening of One New Zealand Stadium is just around the corner and we're continuing our exciting phase of growth and transformation. Venues Otautahi is thrilled to be accepting applications for individuals to join our casual staffing pool of Event Services Attendants to help bring the stadium to life

Behind every great event is exceptional food, seamless service, and a welcoming smile, and that's where YOU come in. We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable team members to help deliver unforgettable experiences for our guests.

Event Services Attendants can take on a variety of customer focused tasks during any given shift and this role suits those who are flexible and happy to move with the needs of the event. You could be rostered to work in any of our current venues, including One New Zealand Stadium when it is open in April 2026.

This would mean you could be rostered in the following areas:

  • Food & Beverage Service – delivering great food and drink, working across bars, tables, corporate suites, and premium hospitality spaces to create standout event experiences.
  • Hosting – welcoming guests, scanning tickets, assisting with seating, and being the friendly face that helps bring events to life.
  • Cashiering – engaging with guests, processing transactions smoothly, and keeping service moving during high-energy event moments.
  • Event / Venue Setup – preparing spaces behind the scenes by stocking fridges, polishing glassware and cutlery, and getting venues event-ready for premium functions.
  • Barista – crafting great coffee and keeping guests energised throughout the event experience.

You'll be right in the thick of it at times, from concerts, to conferences, gala dinners, and large sporting events - and everything in between.

About Us

Venues Ōtautahi attract and host a wide range of events in Christchurch and manage a diverse and iconic portfolio of community venues, including the Christchurch Town Hall, Wolfbrook Arena, Apollo Projects Stadium, Hagley Oval, the Air Force Museum of New Zealand, and One New Zealand Stadium when its operational.

The events held across the Venues Ōtautahi portfolio deliver significant social, cultural, and economic benefit to the region and ultimately these iconic city venues play a valued role to the Christchurch way of life and the economic prosperity and social wellbeing of the region.

Join us in 2026

This campaign is our third and final recruitment phase as we prepare for the opening of One New Zealand Stadium in April 2026. This group of new team members will play a vital role in shaping day-to-day operations and will be front and centre when the stadium becomes fully operational next year, as activity ramps up.

About You

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Ability to work a mixture of early mornings, weekdays, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to be flexible and able to get to/from our various venues
  • Prior experience in a food and beverage role, with premium or corporate hospitality experience highly regarded
  • A genuine passion for taking care of people and providing an amazing guest experience

Our guests deserve an exceptional experience, so with the support of a fantastic team, you will help us ensure that is exactly what they get.

We act with aspiration, agility, kindness and we are driven to take care of our venues to make them places of pride and delight for everyone.

If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you. Help us bring the energy before the first whistle blows
