Are you a proven health, safety, and environmental professional ready to make a genuine impact in a growing business? We're looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to lead the next phase of our safety and sustainability journey.

You'll have the opportunity to take some great work done to date, and really own and enhance our Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems, driving best practice governance, continuous improvement, and a culture where our people, contractors and environment come first.

We have recently amalgamated five entities into one, so there is a real opportunity to be involved in setting up our business for success.

Streamline Group is a nationwide insurance reinstatement specialist, trusted by many of the largest insurance brands.  We pride ourselves on being there when the unexpected strikes.  Through our nationwide network of five business entities, we deliver comprehensive building, restoration and strata services – we rebuild and restore properties damaged by insurable events from small claims through to large events caused by storms, fire and structural impacts.

Our organisation has been formed through the amalgamation of five separate entities, each with a proud history and unique strengths. The new entity is focused on building robust governance frameworks, shared systems, and consistent protocols to ensure sustainable growth and accountability.

What You'll Do

Health & Safety

• Be the owner and guardian of our systems and processes – ensuring consistent application of all standards, processes, and templates.
• Partner with the leadership team and business leaders to implement best-practice safety strategies and systems.

• Coach, influence and empower leaders to embed safety into everyday decision-making.

• Analyse data, spot trends and use insights to improve performance and prevent harm.

• Manage all reporting requirements and performance metrics for the safety and environmental function.
• Ensure thorough investigation of incidents and implementation of corrective actions, including rehab oversight.

Contractor & Risk Management

• Oversee robust contractor pre-qualification, evaluation and engagement processes.
• Lead the review and improvement of risk assessments, JSEAs and SOPs.
• Maintain and develop the organisation's overall risk register and audit programme.

Environmental Management, Measurement and Improvement

• Monitor and measure our carbon footprint and manage improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental legislation and standards.
• Develop and maintain an Environmental Management System (EMS) and lead improvement initiatives.
• Champion waste reduction, emissions management and sustainable resource use.
• Build awareness and capability across the business through training and campaigns.

About You

You'll bring:

• Proven experience leading health, safety, and environmental management in a complex or multi-site environment.
• Strong working knowledge of NZ H&S and environmental legislation.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach – not shy about rolling your sleeves up and helping business leaders get things right.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage across all levels.
• A collaborative leadership style – supporting, guiding and doing.
