About the role
The Health and Safety of our people is the number one priority at LPC.
Our team of Health and Safety Business Partners support operational leaders to continuously reduce operational risk and ensure Safe Production, they are role models with strong networks across the business, who are expected to influence, challenge and act.
This role will support the development of an engaged and high performing workforce, with a strong focus on a positive safety culture. Being the go-to expert for operation leaders and workers, this role is hands on, coaching and delivering technical H&S support in a variety of Health and Safety activities from developing risk assessments to completing complex investigations.
About you
You will enjoy working in a collaborative team and have a strong focus on continuous improvement. You will also have excellent communication skills and be strong at maintaining key stakeholder relationships. You will hold a NEBOSH or Level 4 Health and Safety qualification at a minimum.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum three years' experience in Health & Safety
- Holds a tertiary qualification in a relevant field
- Exposure to high risk environments
- Proven experience and success in leading change and driving a positive Health and Safety culture
- The ability to collaborate and influence leaders at all levels, employees, unions and other key stakeholders to ensure the continued improvement in health, safety and learning performance
- Knowledge of the New Zealand Health and Safety legislation and regulations
- Solid understanding and experience leading risk management processes
- Experience working in a highly unionised environment is advantageous
