Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Emergency Medical Assistant (EMA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team in Bream Bay.
This is a permanent position, working an average of 42 hours on a DDDD roster.
We are looking for driven and compassionate individuals who are committed to help us achieve our mission, and who have a willingness to demonstrate behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John core values - Do the right thing, Side by side, straight up, Make it better, Open minds.
In this role you will:
- Work alongside a qualified Ambulance Officer
- Drive the ambulance and assist with the delivery of patient care
- Ensure operational readiness of vehicle and equipment
- Complete other relevant administrative tasks.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current St John Authority to Practice at EMT level
- Demonstrated excellent operational and clinical performance to date
- Excellent driving record
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
- The ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrated being an excellent team player
- Evidence of CCE
- New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or work visa
- Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
