**About the role**:
The Senior Network Engineer provides design, configuration and problem management in client environments of high complexity, managing resolution of incidents, problems and customer change requests ensuring service level agreements (SLAs)are met. This position also designs and creates technical solutions and manages project delivery, BAU and maintenance support, technical solutions, training, design provisioning and documentation.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Significant experience in managing & configuring I,, switching, routing, firewalling and load balancing
- Strong technical experience in managing and supporting a distributed enterprise network consisting multiple technologies and services
- An excellent understanding of the operational requirements of a complex, multi-vendor, multi-faceted production environment
- Expert knowledge of the relevant key technologies installed at Fire and Emergency NZ including Cisco Networks and Juniper Firewall
- Strong appreciation of formal IT disciplines, methodologies and techniques including change management and service level management.
- Strong experience in management, configuration and upgrading of routers, switches and VPN gateways.
- Significant and demonstrated experience in advising and supporting people at all levels of large complex organisations
- Good experience influencing senior stakeholders both within and outside an organisation.
- Experience leading through influencing other stakeholders
- Promotes and models ethical behaviour.
- Experience in network concepts
