Matatū are the Super Rugby Aupiki team representing the Crusaders and Highlanders regions in Super Rugby Aupiki. The name Matatū has been gifted to symbolise the team's tūmanawa (determination), tūaho (legacy), tūhono (connection) and tūtira (unity) in representing the South Island.

We are currently seeking a Team Manager for our 2026 campaign to deliver a world leading Super Rugby campaign in the 2026 Aupiki competition.

This position will take full responsibility for the Team Manager role to manage and lead all aspects of team operations and logistics for the 2026 Matatūcampaign. This role specifically will focus on working with the Head coach and key management to deliver core logistics and operations, administration, leading preparation for home and away game logistics as well as operations for the team on game days, training day operations for the team including set up, and any other administration tasks.

As the Team Manager, you will collaborate closely with the incumbent Team Manager, Head Coach, Assistant Team Manager, assistant coaches and support staff to help assist all aspects of team operations.

The successful applicant will have proven experience operating in a high performance team environment. Excellent communication, organisational and relationship management skills. A background in sport administration is ideal and an understanding of the game of rugby and its demands at a professional level is highly advantageous.
