PRODUCE MANAGER

Are you passionate about fresh food, leading a team, and creating an exceptional shopping experience?

New World Lincoln is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Produce Manager to take charge of our vibrant produce department. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll be responsible for maintaining top-quality standards, managing inventory and procurement with a sharp eye for value, and guiding a dedicated team to deliver a stand out department, keeping our shelves looking fresh and inviting. Your ability to make smart buying decisions will play a key role in the department's success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone in a current produce managers role looking to take on a new challenge in a supportive and rewarding environment or someone with plenty of produce experience in a 2IC role who's ready to step up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the Produce Department
  • Ensure high standards of product quality, freshness, and presentation
  • Manage stock ordering, rotation, and waste reduction
  • Train, support, and motivate produce staff
  • Analyse sales data to make smart informed decisions
  • Driving an instore promotional program
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
  • Achieve department KPI's and contribute to the overall store success

  • Previous leadership experience in produce
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • A keen eye for quality and a passion for fresh food
  • Confident using data to drive decisions and improve performance
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
  • Reliable, organised, and calm under pressure

Working Hours

This is a full-time role, early morning starts, 5 days a week, including one weekend day, with some flexibility depending on business needs.
