RSM New Zealand (Auckland) is a thriving Chartered Accounting practice located in Auckland CBD, proudly part of RSM International, the 6th largest accounting network worldwide.  We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager/Senior Manager to lead audit engagements and manage a growing portfolio of clients.

This role is ideal for a qualified audit professional with significant experience who is ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive, high-performing team environment.

Key Role Responsibilities

In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing multiple audit engagements from planning through to completion;
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, offering valuable insights and advisory services;
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring junior auditors, fostering their professional development;
  • Ensuring compliance with New Zealand Accounting and Auditing Standards, as well as relevant legislative requirements;
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance audit efficiency; and
  • Providing technical expertise and act as a key point of contact for clients.

About You

To be considered for this role you must possess the following:

  • 5+ years' experience in Professional Services, with a focus on external audit;
  • A proven track record of managing audit engagements and leading teams;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients;
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Extensive knowledge of New Zealand accounting and auditing standards and legislation; and
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
