Woodford House, a leading special character, state-integrated, boarding and day school for Year 7 – 13 girls, in Hawke's Bay is seeking to appoint a permanent, part-time Community Engagement Officer to join our passionate and enthusiastic team. We nurture each girl who walks through our doors so that her light shines brighter.

Woodford House holds a cherished place in the hearts of its extended whānau, community, and supporters. Our old-girl network and wider community span generations, with strong ties across Aotearoa and around the world. We're seeking a proactive individual to help strengthen and activate these connections through the continued development of the Woodford House Foundation.

Working closely with the Foundation Board, this role will be central to developing and delivering strategies that strengthen engagement and drive philanthropic support for the school's long-term priorities.

You'll take the lead on

  • developing and implementing strategies for philanthropy, sponsorship, and donor engagement
  • enhancing the Foundation's marketing presence
  • establishing and managing a sustainable programme for gifting, bequests, and donor relations
  • developing clear processes and documentation that strengthen the Foundation's operations and support its ongoing growth

We're looking for someone who is

  • experienced in areas such as fundraising, marketing, or philanthropic engagement
  • able to work independently while collaborating closely with the Foundation Board
  • proactive and personable
  • deeply motivated by purpose
  • able to build strong relationships
  • able to connect with people from all walks of life
