PROJECT COORDINATOR – stamp your career mark for k to $120k

My client is a market leading manufacturer and distributor of vital building material products for the building and construction industry.

They have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Coordinator to take ownership of the company's most critical project for 2026 supplying one of New Zealand's most exciting construction projects.

They are looking for a proactive Project Coordinator who reads plans like a book and manages Tier 1 clients with firm, collaborative leadership to achieve mutually successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Review construction drawings and specifications to identify clashes, omissions, and supply risks before they impact programme.
  • Raise issues early, propose practical solutions and follow through to resolution.
  • Lead day-to-day client engagement with major Tier-1 contractors in a firm, solutions focused and collaborative way.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Coordinate  with internal teams for supply and logistics to meet strict timelines and quality requirements.
  • Maintain clear records, risk logs, and regular status updates.

What you will bring

  • Proven experience coordinating materials/supply on large construction projects (ideally experience with Tier 1 contractors preferred including on-site project management and/or in QS).
  • A self-motivated get it done attitude.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Confident stakeholder management, assertive when needed, collaborative and outcomes focused approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritisation, and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and eye for mitigating cost/time impacts.
