The Opportunity

Ready to shape the future of claims excellence? Asteron is seeking a Claims Development Specialist to lead the charge in elevating performance, capability, and strategy across our claims function. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in life insurance case management and a passion for coaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with the Technical Claims Manager and Claims Team Managers to deliver impactful learning initiatives and drive best-practice case management across the business.

In this role, you'll design and deliver structured training programs, facilitate technical workshops, and provide expert guidance on complex claims—particularly those involving mental health and long-duration cases. You'll manage a small portfolio of litigious claims, liaise with legal and risk teams to ensure compliance, and contribute to the development of training materials and CMS migration support. Your ability to interpret technical information and influence strategy will be key to refining assessment frameworks and identifying opportunities for growth.

We're looking for someone with strong leadership potential, excellent facilitation skills, and a collaborative mindset. You'll bring a deep understanding of medical and financial concepts, insurance risk products, and the legal landscape surrounding claims. If you thrive in a dynamic, people-focused environment and are ready to make a meaningful impact, this is your opportunity to lead, inspire, and innovate within a high-performing team.
