About the Role
As a Specialist Technician, you'll act as a subject matter expert (SME), supporting the rollingstock technician team with advanced diagnostics, investigations, and maintenance. You'll also play a vital role in training, competency development, and technical support for specialist systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex maintenance investigations and corrective work.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job assessments for rollingstock technicians.
- Support training and apprenticeship programs.
- Respond to incidents and breakdowns, offering expert technical support.
- Contribute to modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion safety, compliance, and collaborative teamwork.
You're a technically skilled professional with:
- Extensive experience in rollingstock or heavy mechanical/electrical systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- A passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
