Counsellor - ACC Sensitive Claims
Keep your contract work & rates part-time. Balance it with a part-time supportive employed role in a collaborative MDT. Apply now for New Year start
Our client is a specialist service growing their team. We are on the lookout for passionate clinicians who want to do meaningful work supporting people through ACC Sensitive Claims. Instead of working in isolation as many contractors do, you'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where you'll feel connected, supported, and valued.
This is your opportunity to join a respected healthcare organisation delivering services alongside wellness teams and primary care clinics. You'll enjoy the stability of an employed role with the autonomy to shape your practice - plus the reassurance of having a team behind you.
What You Can Expect
Work with experienced colleagues to provide trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy. Consultations are eihter face to face or on line.
- Complete comprehensive assessments & developing tailored support plans
- Deliver treatment and rehabilitation specific to each client's needs
- Provide trauma-informed care, risk and crisis intervention
- Collaborate with wider health professionals to ensure continuity of care
Why this role?
- No more working in isolation all the time - be part of a supportive, values-led MDT who meet regularly to share knowledge, ideas, and peer support
- Flexibility with part-time hours (up to 3 days per week)
- Opportunities to work primarily in-person across Auckland, with some telehealth depending on experience
- Internal supervision provided plus peer reviews - you'll never feel "out on your own"
- Generous professional development budget and APC reimbursement
- Multicultural team and diverse clientele
- Join a service that's developing and evolving, with genuine opportunities for input and growth
What We Are Looking For
- Registered clinicians with a current APC (counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists)
- Registered with ACC for Sensitive Claims
- Prior experience within the New Zealand healthcare system
- Proven use of evidence-based approaches (CBT, ACT, mindfulness, etc.)
- Experience working with sensitive claims or similar trauma-informed practice
- Compassionate, culturally aware, and committed to supporting others
Don't settle for working in isolation - step into a role where you're part of a team, with ongoing support and the satisfaction of knowing you're making a difference in your community. Apply now
