About the role I Mō te Tūranga

Play a key role in shaping exceptional events.

As our Events Executive, you'll play a key part in planning and delivering IoD's national events – from one-day forums and online sessions to our flagship annual conference. You'll ensure every detail is spot-on, from logistics and registrations to liaising with venues and supporting speakers. You'll provide administrative support to the National Events and Sponsorship Manager as well as the Sponsorship Lead. You'll also collaborate across IoD teams to make sure our events are engaging, high-quality, and memorable.

This role is varied and fast-paced, with opportunities to:

  • Coordinate and deliver national events and webcasts.
  • Manage event schedules, registrations, and logistics.
  • Support strategic initiatives like Chapter Zero New Zealand and sustainability projects.
  • Work closely with marketing and sponsorship teams to promote events.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience – at least 3 years in event coordination and administration.
  • Strong organisational skills – able to juggle competing priorities and keep everything on track.
  • Tech confidence – comfortable with MS Office, databases, and event software.
  • Great communication skills – a proactive relationship builder who engages positively with stakeholders.
