The Company

This company is looking to build the next stage of their data capability to inform current and future decisions across all departments. This is a newly created role.

The Role

In this role you will be the Data & Insights Analyst for the business Your day to day may include:

  • Working with a mixture of operational reporting, exploratory analysis & stakeholder + client management; This will be done across all departments within the company and external clients.
  • Building a Power BI dashboard or analysing and creating an excel report that assists a department(s) to see what is happening.
  • Analysing campaign/product, market or customer data to inform the launching of new products or services; Writing SQL to combine data from policies, claims and systems.
  • Translating data into digestible insights for technical & non-technical stakeholders. This role does require reporting, engagement and accuracy.
  • Using the analysed data and eventually centralising the operational standards across all departments.

Your Profile

  • A few years of experience in a data or insights analyst role with internal + external stakeholders; Ideally in a commercial environment (insurance, marketing, account-focused) or customer-focused industries.
  • Commercial experience with SQL, Excel, Power BI; Experience with other BI tools, Python, R and Tableau are bonuses, though not at all required.
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills as well as reporting skills; Interaction with both internal and external stakeholders is a strong responsibility in this position.
  • Collaborative, driven, curious, accurate and communicative demeanours would excel within this environment.
  • Full working rights and the ability to work onsite in the north shore up to 5 days per week; Life and commitments happen therefore flexibility is circumstantially supported.
