About the Role

Babcock is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join our dynamic Marine team in Devonport, New Zealand. This fixed-term role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a high-performing business, delivering financial insights that help drive strategic decisions and long-term planning.

You'll collaborate closely with business units and functional teams, interpreting financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Your work will help shape performance outcomes, align reporting with business strategy, and support key initiatives across the organisation. With a strong grasp of accounting standards and contract management, you'll play a vital role in budgeting, forecasting, and improving financial processes.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Legally entitled to work in New Zealand and capable of obtaining a New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) Security Clearance.
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional qualification in CA/CPA.
• Experience with financial analysis, business partnering, and strategic planning within a complex organisational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
• Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel.
