About the role

As a Theatre Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a specialised team to ensure the delivery of patient care, organise equipment and resources, and to obtain optimum 

efficiency and effectiveness of operations. 

You will:

  • Ensure a service that is consultant and patient focused, responsive, and renowned for quality.
  • Work closely with the Theatre Services Manager assisting with rosters and other staff management tasks
  • Actively support the Theatre Services Manager (TSM) to achieve the strategic goals of the company.
  • Make a significant contribution to the day to day management of designated specialty theatre and promote teamwork and collaboration.

This is a permanent role for 64 hours per fortnight and is located at Royston Hospital, Hastings.

About you

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a can do, will do attitude and a demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality services. 

You will also demonstrate and have the following qualities/skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Current New Zealand Nursing Council annual practicing certificate
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in orthopaedic surgical nursing
  • Effective, clear communication skills
  • Excellent risk management skills
