About the Role

We're looking for a Company Accountant to join the leadership team on a part-time basis (around three days per week).

You'll play a key role in developing and managing the finance function to support this dynamic, progressive business, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial management and reporting.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will:

  • Establish and maintain robust financial systems, delegations, and approval processes
  • Improve management accounts and board reports and deliver on a monthly basis
  • Oversee transactional processing, payroll, and month-end close
  • Work with external accountants on year-end financial statements and statutory compliance
  • Develop and manage cashflow models to support operations and investment
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to inform business planning.

About You

You're a commercially minded, hands-on accounting professional who enjoys variety and working across all aspects of a business.

You'll bring:

  • A CA or equivalent qualification
  • Proven financial and management accounting experience in a commercial environment
  • Primary or horticultural sector would ideal but is not essential
  • Strong understanding of cashflow management
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • An analytical, practical, and solutions-focused approach
  • Thinks strategically and contributes to shaping the organisation's long-term direction
  • Flexibility and resilience to support a seasonal business environment (busy harvest period December to early February)
  • High integrity, openness, and a collaborative mindset.
