About the role
Based at Vidak's incredible workspace located at 303 Willis Street, you'll manage the Wellington Branch operations and delivery of exemplary customer service and project management to ensure projects are planned, managed and installed to the highest standards. What you'll be doing
- Report to the Head of Project Management - he is now based in Auckland and used to do this role so is well equipped to support you and help you thrive.
- Manage the branch operations team (one Project Manager & three Project Coordinators) by providing strong collaborative leadership, support and motivation in order to achieve growth targets through demonstrating the company's value and commitment to Vidak strategies.
- Maintain and develop the project delivery and customer service performance of the Wellington Branch.
- Develop job specific project plans that balance all parties requirements taking into account client priorities, site constraints, and availability of labour and product.
- Interact with clients, attend site & project progress meetings, solve problems, build and elevate the capability of staff and sub-contractors.
- Responsible for day to day management of the branch including Showroom Administration and Expense Budgets.
- Provide assistance to the Wellington sales team on project planning and quoting.
- Lead and drive day to day health & safety requirements.
- Maintain and drive positive working relationships with clients, sub-contractors and all Vidak team members.
- Ensure alignment and cohesion with Vidak operations and company culture.
- Continue to look for, suggest and implement opportunities for improvement.
What we're looking for
- Proven New Zealand work experience gained in both people and project management ideally in construction, installation or bespoke manufacturing businesses.
- A collaborative working style together with a reputation for having excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.
- You'll be a "must have employee", someone who inspires others and strives for excellence. You'll relish team work and all it entails.
