The Government has undertaken to support councils to address substantial water infrastructure deficit by providing a new range of structuring and financing tools for water services. The pace and profile of the Local Water Done Well programme means you'll work as a member of a handpicked team across a range of challenging policy issues critical to implementation - spanning areas of legislation, economic regulation, infrastructure planning and investment, and system stewardship and monitoring. Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to provide maternity leave cover and ensure continuity and support Local Water Done Well programme delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and teams while ensuring goals are met and stakeholders are informed throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and close projects according to defined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and adjust as needed
  • Identify risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and escalate when necessary
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders and team members throughout all phases
  • Monitor project performance using appropriate tools
  • Ensure quality standards are met and project deliverables align with objectives
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve high performance
