About The Company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Direct Marketing Specialist to join the team at a well-established NZ brand, based at their Albany office for a 12-month parental leave contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality direct email marketing campaigns, with a focus on customer loyalty, personalisation, and engagement in the retail sector.

  • The role will involve maintaining the email schedule and collaborating closely with the marketing team to determine content.
  • The specialist will work with both in-house assets and external agencies to source product information, images, and videos.
  • They will be tasked with creating and deploying monthly emails which will include product, price, seasonal information, and competitions.

About The Role

  • Lead the execution of direct email marketing campaigns to engage and retain customers.
  • Collaborate with Retail Marketing Specialists, Merchandise, and E-Commerce teams to ensure alignment of messaging and content.
  • Create engaging emails that are consistent with the brand's marketing strategy.
  • Use segmentation and audience creation to drive campaign effectiveness based on customer data insights.
  • Help build customer journeys for retention and ongoing engagement, ensuring the success of lifecycle marketing programmes.

About You

  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing automation and direct marketing, ideally in a retail environment.
  • Strong experience with email deployment platforms such as Emarsys, Braze, Klaviyo, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • A process-driven mindset with a technical approach to marketing automation.
  • Experience in managing and segmenting customer data for targeted communications.
  • Ability to maintain high-frequency email campaigns, with an emphasis on delivering consistent, on-time, and accurate content.
