About the Role

As Senior Business Development Manager, you will drive growth across the North Island market by:

• Proactively identifying, targeting and securing new business across corporates, mid-market clients, financial institutions, and banking/finance environments.
• Engaging everyone from business owners to C-suite leaders to understand their payment workflows, FX exposures, risk appetite, and international transaction requirements.
• Owning the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pitching through to onboarding and early-stage account management before handover to internal teams.
• Leveraging industry events, networking opportunities, and self-generated lead channels to build a consistent, quality pipeline.
• Acting as a subject matter expert on payment solutions, FX strategies, compliance considerations, regulatory shifts, and global market dynamics.
• Partnering internally to tailor sophisticated solutions for clients and articulate value in a clear and commercial way.
• Building referral networks and strategic partnerships with professional service firms, advisors and ecosystem partners.
• Working in a hybrid model split between home and a modern central Auckland office.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a senior, high-calibre BDM who offers:

• 5+ years B2B sales experience, ideally in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Experience in payments, FX, financial services, corporate banking or cross-border transaction solutions.
• A strong track record in new business acquisition — developing top-of-funnel activity, nurturing opportunities, and consistently closing deals.
• Strong communication and presentation skills across digital and in-person formats.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to hold intelligent conversations around global events, financial risk and economic impacts.
• Experience selling into mid-market and corporate organisations; experience selling into financial institutions or banks is a significant advantage.
• High levels of autonomy, resilience and self-motivation.
