We're looking for a passionate and experienced HR generalist to join our team as a HR Advisor.

This is where you come in.  As a key member of our people team, you will support our people to achieve their goals through self-accountability, continual improvement, principles and processes. 

This new role is pivotal in creating a positive and productive work environment, ensuring everyone feels empowered and supported.   

Key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Running HR processes

  • Monthly check-ins with employees to support them achieving their goals

  • Owning the recruitment process - attract, recruit and grow amazing people

  • Promote employee well-being

  • Foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns

  • Support the employee development plan process

  • Supporting any ER related issues

Key competencies we are looking for:

  • Passionate about people and their ongoing development

  • Strong communication with high emotional intelligence and active listening

  • An analytical and data-driven approach to the role

  • Business acumen and commercial awareness

  • Proactive, organised and adaptable

  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution

  • A do'er – you want to be hands on and support Dataminers and Datamine

  • Adaptability and resilience

  • A continual learning mindset – curious about people and business

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Ideal background/knowledge required for this role:

  • Around 5 years of experience in HR/people roles

  • Proven ability to support and inspire people

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

  • Understanding and application of New Zealand employment laws and regulations

  • Strong sense of business and commercials

  • Experience recruiting a range of roles from grad to senior level, technical and business
