RealNZ is looking for a motivated and people focused Operations Coordinator – Rakiura to help lead our team and support the diverse range of RealNZ experiences across beautiful Stewart Island/Rakiura. In this role, you'll work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, confident team leadership, and exceptional guest experiences across our products including wild kiwi encounters, Ulva Island tours, Village and Bays experiences, and welcoming guests to our lodge for an overnight escape.

You'll step up to lead the team in the Operations Manager's absence, coordinate operational activities, support staff, manage rosters, and act as a key point of contact for business functions. This dynamic role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys working closely with people, and brings a calm and professional approach to a fast moving environment.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience leading operational teams
  • A confident and engaging communication style
  • A positive and can do attitude that motivates others
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm, friendly, and professional
  • Tourism experience (advantageous)
  • Solid operations experience
  • Hands on team leadership experience
  • A full driver licence (Class 2 an advantage)
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to a small, close knit community

Preferred Qualifications

  • Class 2 licence
  • Additional tourism or operational training (optional but beneficial)
