About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Systems Lead to join our team. This role involves the assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems as part of our production process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems, be able to read and interpret technical drawings, and work collaboratively to ensure quality and efficiency in production.
The role involves working with high-voltage electrical systems and requires a high degree of competence and attention to detail. Cranepower is proud to be a market leader in in the quality, reliability, and safety of its products, and this role is critical to ensuring this continues.
The ideal applicant will have a curiosity to learn and flexibility to adapt in a dynamic working environment. Initiative and independence are both key to this role, as is the willingness to create efficiencies and processes to improve the production line.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly of Cranepower products, including wiring and installation of electrical components and systems according to schematics and technical drawings.
Assist with development of work instructions/procedures.
Perform functional and quality tests on electrical components and completed machines and compile test results.
Installation of firmware onto sub-systems during pre-testing.
Diagnose and troubleshoot wiring, component, or system issues in production.
Maintain documentation and reports for quality control and production records.
Document cable schedules and wiring diagram variants as required.
Work closely with engineering staff to resolve technical issues and create templates and automations to improve production efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Help to maintain inventory, stock takes, and inwards goods.
Help with the development and improvement of the company's Health and Safety Systems.
Suggest and implement improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
- After sales support (Phone, domestic and international).
- Create electrical schematics.
Qualifications and Skills:
Certified Electrician (Industrial experience preferred) or Electrical Engineer with hands on experience.
Ideally 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly, manufacturing, or production environment.
EWRB License.
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with tools and equipment used in electrical assembly and testing.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Experienced and licensed in operating a forklift (or a willingness to undergo training).
