We have a fantastic opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer with a privately owned geotechnical specialist company with offices in the US, New Zealand and Australia. The company has a solid commitment to their people and prides themselves on the culture of the business. They understand the local employment market conditions well and reward their staff accordingly with bonuses and ownership options as you progress through the company. There are additional benefits on offer which are commercial in confidence.

Their forward order book and work in hand are healthy but not crazy. They have a system in place to work on projects across all their offices, which works well, so there are various exciting projects and a proven review process involving senior people to learn from continually.

To be put forward for this position, you should demonstrate that you have previous experience working on or running small to medium-ground investigations. This role will help you to build on your understanding of the local ground conditions, sampling methods, drilling techniques, lab scheduling, OH&S, proposal writing, project management, ground models, and report writing of basic factual and interpretative reports.

From a design perspective, you should have had some exposure to software packages like Plaxis 2D & 3D, Slide 2D, Settle 3D, CPet-IT, and Wallap and be able to explain your project involvement and your level of software proficiency.
