This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role that directly contributes to food safety, sustainability and market access for our group of companies. If you love produce and working with growers this role is for you.

The Role is:

What You'll Do

  • Conduct timely, high-quality NZGAP and GLOBALG.A.P. grower inspections (including add-ons such as GRASP, Environmental Plans and Water Management)

  • Guide and support growers to attain and retain certification – both within our Grower Group and those using independent certification bodies

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with growers

  • Write clear reports, manage non-conformance close-outs and meet all critical reporting timeframes

  • Handle grower group complaints and participate in external certification inspections

  • Provide timely and practical compliance advice

You'll Need

  • Prior NZGAP and/or GLOBALG.A.P. auditing experience is an advantage

  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, social practice and environmental requirements in horticulture

  • Strong organisational, communication and relationship-building skills

  • Full driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout Auckland–Northland

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule

  • Post high school diploma in a discipline related to the scope of certification (plants and or agriculture); or

  • an agricultural high school qualification with 2 years of experience in the relevant scope after qualification; or

  • any other high school qualification with 3 years of sector specific experience (example farm management, including own operations in the relevant product; commercial consultant in the relevant product; field experience relevant to specific products)

  • Participation in educational opportunities relevant to the scope of certification such as a one-day practical audit training certificate and HACCP training would be advantageous.

What We Offer

  • Flexible hours/contract options

  • Competitive remuneration

  • Ongoing training and development

  • Friendly and supportive team

If you're passionate about great horticulture systems, love working with growers and want to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
