Extension Resource Specialist

**He aha te mahi? What’s the role?**:
Zespri’s Extension Team (GET) leads the sharing of technical knowledge across Zespri’s global supply chains to lead sustainable practice change. It achieves this by forming strong working relationship across Zespri teams and key industry stakeholders to assist policy development and ensure timely resource development and delivery forums. The Extension Team (GET) has five teams: Resource Development, Extension Delivery, Trial and Data Insights, GAP and Innovation.

This specialist role is in the Resource Team and this team is responsible for extension resources, which may include the production of newsletters, video and podcasts and a range of written resources. The team raises awareness and shows the value of behaviour changes through timely delivery of key messages that support Zespri’s strategic goals and are evidence based. You will be responsible for:

- Lead the development of event specific videos / other extension videos.
- Participate in the web content creation of NZ extension resources; support the process through revising technical content and working with technical experts to revise/create content.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as growers, industry technical personnel, Zespri Innovation and Grower Liaison staff, industry groups and scientists.
- Represent GET on appropriate internal working groups and at external events where rerquired.
- Assist with the production of newsletters through engagement with Extension Team members and other relevant teams within Zespri.

**Ko wai koe? Who are you?**:
A self starter, strong on comms and a touch of creativity, you will have the following:

- Bachelor’s degree in an area relating to adult learning, psychology, science, communication, agriculture or horticulture (desirable, not essential).
- Knowledge and experience in web, visual, audio and print resource development.
- Knowledge and experience in adult learning and extension science.
- Technical knowledge on perennial crops, preferably kiwifruit (desirable, not essential).
- Technical skills in production of video, podcasts and resources for digital platforms.
- Presentation and technical writing skills.
- Collaboration, interpersonal and networking skills.
- NZ Driver’s Licence.
