**He aha te mahi? What's the role?**:
As a Technical Specialist - G.A.P, you will lead the development and implementation of Zespri G.A.P standards, ensuring our kiwifruit production aligns with the GLOBAL.G.A.P framework. Your expertise will guide our supply chain in adhering to top-notch agricultural practices, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Standards: Create and maintain policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines for on-orchard production.
- Technical Support: Provide technical advice on GLOBAL.G.A.P standards, GRASP, and other relevant G.A.P requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Market Access and cross-functional teams to integrate new customer and regulatory requirements.
- Champion Sustainability: Lead working groups to consider economic, social, and environmental impacts of Zespri policies.
- Resource Development: Partner with GET to develop guidelines, tools, and resources for growers to enhance their understanding and implementation of G.A.P.
- Audit Representation: Represent Zespri in internal and external audit programs for G.A.P, organics, and environmental initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process excellence and best practice documentation within the Quality Systems team.
- Training and Communication: Develop training materials and draft communications to facilitate knowledge transfer and implementation of G.A.P standards.

**Ko wai koe? Who are you?**:

- Qualifications and/or technical experience in agricultural, food, environmental or biological sciences or similar.
- A high level of experience and understanding of GLOBALG.A.P. including GRASP requirements.
- A base of primary production and environmental management, preferably the horticulture sector.
- Experience in the development of national standards and supporting systems in a food production or horticultural environment.
- Experience in providing technical advice around Good Management/Growing Practice, Resource Management, Environmental Management and/or other production systems.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
