Are you passionate about enabling secure and effective information sharing across government? We're looking for a skilled and collaborative Senior Information Sharing Advisor – Technical to join our Information Sharing and Privacy team at New Zealand Customs Te Mana Ārai o Aotearoa. This position is a full-time fixed term/secondment opportunity to 30 June 2026.About this role…Reporting to the Manager Information Sharing and Privacy, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining systems, processes and procedures that strengthen Customs' domestic information sharing agreement activities.This includes strengthening our ability to develop, maintain and manage our agreements and the interface with the Data teams supplying data under the agreements. You will support the planned review of Customs' Information Sharing and Accountability Framework, and identify, evaluate and implement improvements and other technical changes to Ngā Whakaaetanga (Customs' domestic information sharing register), which may include the development of technical specifications for future Sharepoint tools.To be successful as a Senior Information Sharing Advisor - Technical, you require the following knowledge, experience, skills and personal attributes:significant and verifiable experience developing and delivering information management practices within complex organisationsa high level of understanding of information sharing processes within governmentthe proven ability to work well in a team in a highly collaborative mannerclear and concise written and verbal communication skillsthe ability to adapt to and learn new technologies and methodologies as requiredthe ability to work flexibly to deliver advice and support across multiple products and services and teamthe ability to deliver quality outcomes, even when under pressuresatisfy Customs' security vetting requirements.Working at Customs | Mahi ki te Mana Ārai o AotearoaWe aim to create a great place to work, where our people have a sense of belonging and the capability and desire to meet our future challenges. Organisational security clearances are mandatory and are conducted by Customs.
