This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment - where your attention to detail, accuracy, and teamwork will be highly valued. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day accounting and tax processes, supporting month-end reporting, and maintaining full compliance with company policies.
What You'll Do

- Prepare daily bank reconciliations and comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare and submit Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns in full compliance with statutory requirements.
- Record all property-related transactions such as straight-line rent adjustments, leasing cost amortisation, leasing incentive amortisation, accruals, prepayments, and operating expense recoveries.
- Support variance analysis by comparing actual results against budgets and participate in meetings with Property Managers to discuss findings and provide insights.
- Review new lease setups, renewals, and terminations to ensure all information is accurately captured in the financial systems.
- Collaborate with the Property Services team to prepare annual property operating expense budgets and assist with the year-end reconciliation process.
- Manage employee expense claims and credit card transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and prompt processing.
- Reconcile corporate credit card statements regularly, following up on outstanding items or discrepancies.
- Support payment run reviews and authorisations, and assist during acquisitions, disposals, developments, audits, or other transactions as required.
What You Bring
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline - providing the essential foundation for success in this role.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) for efficient data analysis and reporting.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, building strong relationships across departments.
- Experience using accounting software such as Yardi (preferred), Xero or MYOB.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- A genuine commitment to core values such as determination, integrity, innovation, and sustainability.
- The ability to take initiative while remaining considerate of others' perspectives.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills for clear reporting, collaboration, and audit documentation.
