As an Assistant Accountant, you'll provide essential support across a range of accounting functions, including:

  • Processing and reconciling creditors and debtors.
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts and year-end audit.
  • Preparing month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Supporting IRD tax returns and annual budgeting.
  • Providing financial input into projects and maintaining accurate records.

This is a varied role where attention to detail and proactive problem-solving are key.

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role.
  • Eager to learn with an inquisitive mind
  • Strong understanding of complex accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
