We are looking for a Thai Restaurant Manager to join our team.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related work experience OR
  • At least related NZ Register Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification)

Core Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Planning menus in consultation with Chefs, considering seasonal availability, customer preferences and cost control.
  • Planning, organising and overseeing special functions and events within the restaurant.
  • Arranging the purchasing, receiving, storage and pricing of food, beverages and other supplies in line with budget and quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, financial transactions, and operational performance.
  • Ensuring that dining, kitchen and service facilities comply with health, safety and hygiene regulations and present a clean, functional and appealing appearance.
  • Conferring with customers to monitor satisfaction with meals and service, and addressing any concerns or feedback.
  • Recruiting, selecting, training, rostering and supervising waiting staff, kitchen staff and other restaurant personnel.
  • Developing and monitoring service standards to maintain a high level of customer experience.

Additional Duties (may include)

  • Taking reservations, greeting guests, and assisting in taking orders during busy service periods.
  • Preparing reports on business performance, customer feedback and staff development.
  • Implementing marketing and promotional activities to increase patronage.

Other detail

  • This is a full-time and permanent position
  • Wage payment is $27 - $40 per hour, and you will be paid weekly
  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
  • Place of work is 81 Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North Central.
  • We are open Monday to Sunday. You will work according to a roster, with a guarantee of 30 hours each week (a maximum of 48 hours).
