Te Awamutu, New Zealand AgFirst Engineering (Waikato) Limited Full time

At AgFirst Engineering (Waikato) Limited, we're a locally owned and operated company at the heart of New Zealand's primary industries — designing, importing, manufacturing, and constructing innovative pumping, irrigation, and effluent systems that help farms and businesses thrive sustainably.

We're looking for a motivated and capable Operations & Administration Manager to play a key role in the smooth running and continued growth of our Te Awamutu hub.

About the Role

This role blends hands-on administration with strategic coordination across the business. You'll oversee daily operations, manage key systems, and ensure the team and projects are running efficiently — helping drive our business forward as we continue to expand.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing and improving our administrative and operational systems.

• Managing procurement, stock, and supplier coordination.

• Handling invoicing, job management, and accounts support.

• Assisting with project scheduling, job tracking, and reporting.

• Supporting business growth by refining processes and enabling the team to perform at their best.

• Contributing to leadership decisions as the company expands its team and project capabilities.

About You

You'll thrive in a dynamic, close-knit environment where initiative and ownership are valued.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Strong organisational and administrative experience (preferably in an agricultural, engineering, construction, or trade-based business).

• Experience managing procurement, invoicing, and job management systems.

• The ability to lead by example, support others, and bring calm efficiency to a busy environment.

• A proactive mindset and an eye for improvement.

• A genuine interest in our industry, our people, and helping grow a great New Zealand business.

Why Join Us

AgFirst Engineering is part of the wider AgFirst Group — but we're an independent, family-run business where your work has real impact.

You'll be joining a team that values:

• A family-oriented culture and positive work-life balance.

• Innovation and continuous improvement in everything we do.

• Sustainability and practical environmental outcomes.

• Opportunities for leadership and growth as our business continues to expand.

This is a unique opportunity to take a key operational role within a growing, well-respected company — with future scope to lead an expanding team and contribute to strategic development as AgFirst Engineering grows.

How to Apply

If you're ready to bring your organisational and leadership skills to a company that values integrity, innovation, and teamwork — we'd love to hear from you.
